Jorge Garcia has joined the cast of Netflix‘s Adam Sandler comedy The Ridiculous Six.
Sandler will star in the spoof on Westerns with Rob Schneider, Luke Wilson, Nick Nolte, Terry Crews and Taylor Lautner. Sandler is producing through his Happy Madison Productions, with his The Wedding Singer director Frank Coraci behind the camera.
Sandler wrote the script with his longtime collaborator Tim Herlihy (Grown Ups 2, Happy Gilmore).
The film will be one of four Sandler will make exclusively for Netflix, per a deal the actor signed with the streaming service in October. Warner Bros. previously was in talks to produce the project, but dropped out after Sandler closed the Netflix deal and his comedy Blended and Seth MacFarlane‘s Western spoof A Million Ways to Die in The West both underperformed.
Principal photography on The Ridiculous Six will begin this month in New Mexico. Allen Covert is producing with Sandler, and Barry Bernardi and Heather Parry are executive producing.
Garcia is best known for starring on Lost for its entire run. His film credits include The Wedding Ringer, opposite Kevin Hart, and the horror comedy Cooties. He’s represented by APA and managed by LINK.
