I was so excited to receive a free Transformers Studio Series Deluxe Bumblebee figurine! I remember the cartoons and commercials from the 80s and my younger brother had a few transformers in our toy box during our childhood. Upon receipt I was a little disappointed that it was going to take 23 steps to transform the figurine from a robot to a car. The instructions are for children 8 years and older, but I struggled to understand what the picture was trying to convey in multiple steps. My son is almost 7 and can usually master other toys meant for much older children, but he struggled to transform the toy and eventually gave up. Even if a child could follow the instructions, I feel like it would only be a matter of time before the complicated instruction manual gets lost and the child can no longer transform the toy. The toy isn’t the sturdiest so I also question how long it will last, especially if me or my child accidentally turn the toy in the wrong direction when attempting to transform the toy. It’s a shame that the toy isn’t easier to transform and I know parents would appreciate a few less steps to make the toy easier for young children to play independently instead of asking a grownup for help. Personally I wouldn’t give this toy as a gift. I know my boys got frustrated and quickly lost interest in the toy and I feel like other children would feel the same.

The movie studio series 86-29 deluxe bumblebee is so much fun…from the packaging to the nostalgic vibes I get to share with my son! We love the details reminiscent of the movie and the show. This toy is well made and fairly durable, although I definitely wouldn’t let my younger son get his hands on it. All the reticulating joints give the toy some vulnerability if the child isn’t somewhat careful when playing. It takes 23 steps to go from Bumblebee robot to car which is a bit complicated but with practice my 8 year old had it figured out pretty quick. This toy would also be an amazing piece for a collector if it was left in the box. I recommend Hasbro toys to anyone, they have exceptional customer service and care along with awesome products. This Transformer Bumble Bee toy is a mixed review for me. It made my grandson very happy, however, it is way too hard to “transform”. It took an adult nearly 45 minutes to get it turned into a car so the child would never be able to get it from a Transformer to a car. The directions are very confusing and don’t really help. It is a durable little toy that should last a long time. The packaging was hard to get into as well but that’s not a huge deal. My grandson loves it so that’s the most important thing. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

(Incetivized) I always love toys where kids can do so many things and use their creativity. The Transformers Studio Series 86-29 Bumblebee is a real fun, engaging and creative toy. It lets kids change Bumblebee from a robot to a mini car and pose it in lots of ways. Plus, it looks just like the movie character which makes it it perfect for imaginative play and display! It's perfect for kids 8 and up. This came in a packing which was not fully covered but it’s fine as it looks durable and kids can feel it before buying. I like it and recommend it.
