The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly (IMHO)
SquirrelWhisperer· Opinión proporcionada por LEGO · 17 de septiembre de 2023
Please stay with me on this one. First, let’s describe the GOOD. The farm truck shows very well. As LEGO admits, it is not meant to represent any special brand or model, but it does an incredible job at bringing back memories of 4 people sitting across on a bench seat designed for two, with brother holding the dog and sis holding the prize mini-pig that will take the fair this year. There is so much authenticity in the model, such as the flimsy doors that never seem to close the same way twice. Oh the memories!
THE BAD. Though the model appears solid, there are so many designed-in failure points that are just waiting to fall off. The front grill, the silly way the doors are framed which guarantees falling apart, the fenders which are fragile and love falling off.
So if that’s Bad, what’s THE UGLY.? Simply, every new expert level design can provide the builder with an enjoyable and challenging experience, or smack them with loads of incongruous designs (doors, fenders, grill, hinges) that due their frailty have little value for learning.
So why did I recommend this? First, it is one of the most challenging large cars that we’ve been given. Second, the final result shows very well. You just cannot play with it.
CLASSIC

Hi All,
This was an Enjoyable Project simple lights.
Doesn’t need the retro multi-coloured flashing light display, it’s a Classic Truck not a Pimp My Ride car.
This Kit is the CLASSIC.
The only bit of the Kit that Spoils it was the multi-colour strip light that goes under the Bonnet, Sorry “HOOD”,
So I changed it for a Warm White Dot Light to illuminate the Engine Bay, A lot better I think (Lego have this habit of Designing a Fantastic Engine or Interior and then COVERING IT UP, So where possible I try and Highlight it.
Well done G.O.B another Excellent Kit.
The Quality of the Wires & Lights are Very Good.
Well, On to my Next Project.
Excellent product at a reasonable price

This is a satisfying build with lots of creative techniques. While building, I was worried different parts would be fragile, but when connected, they were all sturdy and great fits. There are a few small issues. The doors (while they do work amazingly) are difficult to attach to the cab, which at that point is a little too cramped to work in easily and the hinge mechanism is understandably a little chunky. Also in the cab is another very minor issue, being that despite including an accelerator, brake pedal, and shifter, there is no clutch pedal. This is very minor, since the pedals are difficult to see as is, it just made me wonder why it was skipped. The grille is very loose, as it only has one weak connection. It won't fall off or anything, it's just very unstable to the touch. Other than these minor problems, I love this truck. the piece usage is great, especially for the inside door handles! There are few stickers, and the printed elements look great. The seasonal bits are great for more seasonal decorators, but I just have a very full truck bed. I absolutely recommend this set.
Worth the money, but a little finnicky

I preordered this product because I was so excited about it. I love the look of this build and all the miniature extras. For me, it serves wonderfully as a display piece with the sets of accessories for each season that are just as intricate as the main build itself.

As a display piece, the truck is everything I could have wanted. It has working doors, hood, and trunk, and no detail was spared for the main build. The engine has its own little fan belt (which turns, and is adorable) and if you look inside the cab, you can see tiny pedals and a gearshift. The attention to detail is wild, especially for such a compact build.

And, therein lies one of the problems of this build. Now, I am a beginner (this is my second build, my first being r2) so please keep that in mind. But, compared to r2, this truck was a little bit difficult to keep together during the building process. the base body was fragile during build, as was the back of the cab. Now, as a complete build, it is pretty sturdy, and I don't see it randomly falling apart, but do keep in mind that there may be some structure failure during the build due to its size in relation to detail.

I saw another commenter bring up color match discrepancies, and I can also attest to the fact that a few of the curved pieces on the very front of the hood are a different color. For me, it was only two of these pieces that were off-color, so I just incorporated them into the build in a symmetrical way, and it wasn't too much of an issue for me. However, it may bug some other people to see a few pieces that aren't the exact same color as the others. Considering that in the directions there is no distinction between the pieces, I am assuming that this was a coloring error and not intentional, but I could be wrong. However, this does lead into one of my actual problems with the quality - I also received a very tight brick in this set. Like, I mean it was so tight I was worried it was unusable. After much prying, this brick (a red standard two studded piece with technic cross hole in the center) was usable, but it was incredibly strange considering the rest of these bricks in the set did not have the same issue.

Overall, I think the positives vastly outweigh the negatives in this build. I love this truck, and at its price point of $130, it's an absolute steal for the brick count and versatility. Not only does it function as a great seasonal display piece, but its detail also makes it an exciting build that I know I'll enjoy for many years to come.
